Florida outfielder Michael Robertson entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. After redshirting his first year, Robertson played his last two years at Florida at a high level.
He had a career batting average of .243, had three home runs, 45 RBI and 87 total hits. Robertson had a career high batting average of .256 this past spring.
Robertson played his high school baseball at Venice (Fla.) High and was a four-year letter winner. He aided his school to two state championships as a freshman and sophomore.
Perfect Game ranked Robertson as the No. 18 player and No. 4 outfielder in Florida and the No. 139 overall player in the country.
Coming into college, Robertson explained why he chose the Gators amid myriad offers.
“It has always been my dream school,” he said. “I have grown up a Gators fan, and it is the best program in the country.”

Michael Robertson continues portal movement at Florida
Robertson was the latest Florida Gator to enter the portal after five freshmen did so earlier this week. Among those five players who entered the portal, four of them are pitchers.
The four pitchers are Robert Satin, Reilly Witmer, Alex Philpott, and Jacob Gomberg. The position player is Blake Brookins.
The Gators decided to enter the Transfer Portal following Florida’s run in Omaha at the College World Series. After going 13-17 in SEC play to end the season, Florida was able to go on a run in the NCAA Tournament, making it all the way to Omaha. There, the Gators managed to win two games but had two losses to Texas A&M to eliminate them.
