Jamarion Batemon, a four-star shooting guard in the 2025 class, tells On3 he’s narrowed his list of schools down to four: Clemson, Iowa State, Marquette, and West Virginia. The 6-foot-3 rising senior out of Milwuakee Academy of Science (WI) will be announcing his college decision on Monday, July 1st.

Out of his finalists, Batemon has only made unofficial trips to Iowa State and Marquette. He has not visited either Clemson or West Virginia.

Batemon, On3’s No. 51 overall prospect in the country, broke down each of his finalists.

Batemon talks final four schools

Clemson: “Wasn’t afraid to pull the trigger later in my recruitment and understand my goals of making the NBA.”

Marquette: “My hometown school and has a very good coach in Shaka Smart and a good overall program. They also rely a lot on their guards which is intriguing.”

Iowa State: “(Iowa State) was my first high major interest and have been recruiting me for a while building a great relationship. I also love their environment and how they get after it. Really fits my competitive nature.”

West Virginia: “Coach (Chester) Frazier gave me my first high major offer while at Illinois and has also been recruiting me for a while building a great relationship. (He) moved to West Virginia and showed the same love and consistency in my recruitment.”
