Kate Captivates, Harry Hesitates: Duke of Sussex 'Feels Like Outsider' While Future Queen Thrives in Renewed Royal Role

Prince Harry is said to feel isolated after a recent spat of snubs, but especially Princess Kate's huge comeback at June 15's Trooping the Colour.

"It was painful for Harry to see all his family gathered for Trooping the Colour," a Sussex source spilled. "He would have dearly loved to have been there, if only to congratulate and support Kate in person on what must have been an incredibly difficult day for her."

"Harry was particularly upset and emotional when he saw the footage of Kate. He's been so worried about her ever since he received the news of her condition, and while he has managed to connect with her on a few occasions, it's not nearly as often as he'd like," they added when highlighting how the former good friends now only occasionally chat on the phone or video.

The source continued: "He could see she was putting on a stoic, brave face, but ultimately having the eyes of the world on her was a lot of pressure. The fact he had to watch from 6,000 miles away just made him so sad. It really hammered home how he's an outsider at this point. He would just love to have her — along with the rest of his family — back in his life properly."

This insight comes after the queen-in-waiting "made a statement" with her Trooping the Colour appearance while Meghan Markle's team tried to plug her "failing" brand.

"I would say this is intentional, but also a bit of a miss-hit because the timing was very, very poor," journalist Louise Roberts recently said of the Duke's friend Nacho Figueras' Instagram post promoting American Rivera Orchard.

"Instead of doing the classy thing and sending a very public message, particularly to Charles and Kate, given their cancer battle, 'all the best for Trooping the Colour today, I hope it goes well,' or something in the Meghan style," she added.

Figueras received one of the 50 jars of jam Meghan sent out during the brand's soft launch back in mid-March.

Roberts further added: "Instead one of Harry's polo friends was putting up Instagram pictures of dog biscuits and raspberry jam. Now I don't blame him [Harry] at all, clearly Meghan had a hand in this. But to take the spotlight away from her father-in-law and sister-in-law is really, really poor form I think."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly wishing to end royal feud.MEGA

But for many analysts, the outlook is starting to "become crystal clear" thanks in part to how the royals "have moved on."

"Harry has broken so many bonds of trust with so many people, it is difficult to see him ever attending a society wedding or Trooping the Colour again," royal author Emily Andrews bleakly pointed out.
