Travis Kelce has weighed in on the much-discussed drama surrounding Jason and Kylie’s clash with a fan in May.
When you’re as famous as the Kelces, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to step out of the house without a fan recognizing you and wishing to say hello. Travis is a Super Bowl champion and tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Jason‘s Philadelphia Eagles career is legendary. They were already incredibly famous, but since Trav began dating Taylor Swift last year, their faces are known farther and wider than they could perhaps ever have anticipated. Fan interactions follow them wherever they go, but unfortunately, not all of them are pleasant, as Trav has recently acknowledged regarding an incident involving his brother and his wife…
Travis Kelce defends Jason and Kylie up against ‘entitled’ fan
In May 2024, you will have seen a viral video making the rounds. It showed Jason’s wife Kylie in an altercation with a fan. “I can smell alcohol on your breath,” Kylie said to her. “You’re embarrassing yourself.”
The video was filmed in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, and attracted a lot of attention, with many fans admitting they were surprised to see Kylie being so confrontational but praising her for standing up for herself. However, Travis enlightened listeners about what happened and his thoughts during an appearance on an episode of the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, uploaded on Tuesday, June 25th 2024.
“In that video of them just trying to have date night with their friends over at the shore where it’s a big family environment everybody is having a good time,” he set the scene. “And this lady just comes in trying to be entitled, telling Jason and Kylie like, ‘You have to take a picture with my kid, you’re doing it now.’ It escalated into something it never should’ve been.”

Trav was sure to highlight that they are always respectful when respect is shown to them. “Jason and Kylie are the sweetest,” he defended. “They’re the nicest people until you take it to that point. And then it’s like, ‘Now I got to choke slam you b***h.'”
Taking the side of his brother and sister-in-law, he reflected that Kylie “has a toughness of like, ‘Don’t f**k with me,'” and it comes out when people overstep their boundaries. Otherwise, the family is accommodating to fans.
Fan has apologized to the Kelce family for ‘heated moment’
Coming forward, the woman from the viral video issued a statement to WPVI, the local ABC News outlet, offering a formal apology to the town of Margate as well as Kylie and the family, whom she previously apologized to in private.
“In a heated moment, I said things that were out of character for me and that I regret and for that, I am sorry,” she explained. “Although I apologized directly to the Kelce family on Saturday, I want to publicly apologize to them, and our community. My anger, and my actions, are not who I am, and certainly not indicative of the welcoming community of Margate.”
Now Trav has weighed in, hopefully any potentially lingering bad blood can be put to bed.
