Russia continues to gradually lose its advantage in the use of artillery at the front. The difference in the number of shots has significantly decreased, informs a source in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The gap in shots at the front between Ukraine and Russia has decreased from 1:7 to 1:3," said the interlocutor.

The First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Ivan Havryliuk, stated a few weeks ago that the Russian artillery advantage was 7:1 at the beginning of 2024 but had decreased to 1:5.

At the end of February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned that a ratio of 1:3 or 1:1.5 in artillery shots was necessary to push the Russians back.

He clarified that otherwise, Ukrainian defenders would either remain in place or lose control over territories.

Notably, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced yesterday, June 25, the arrival of the first batch of shells in Ukraine as part of his country's initiative.
