Rescuers reveal aftermath footage of Russian airstrike on Derhachi near Kharkiv

On Wednesday, June 26, during the day, Russia conducted an airstrike on the town of Derhachi in the Kharkiv region. Casualties have been reported, including children, the aftermath of the airstrike was shown on the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS).

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS), as a result of airstrikes with guided aerial bombs on the residential sector of the town of Derhachi, residential buildings at various addresses were damaged.

Additionally, a fire was reported on the premises of one of the private households, where an outbuilding was ablaze. Rescue workers promptly extinguished the fire. Preliminary reports indicate that 9 people were injured as a result of the airstrike.

Situation in Kharkiv and the region

Since early May of this year, Russia has attempted a renewed offensive in the Kharkiv region. Russian forces managed to advance towards the outskirts of Vovchansk. Additionally, Kharkiv itself has faced heavy shelling.

As stated by Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Russia is using Kharkiv as a testing ground for modified ammunition.
