Michigan State lands commitment from 2025 Macomb Dakota OT Justin Bell

Michigan State received another 2025 commitment onJune 26, landing three-star offensive tackle Justin Bell, of Macomb (Mich.) Dakota High School, following a weekend official visit which wrapped up on June 23. Spartan offensive line coach Jim Michalczik offered Bell (6-8, 265) last week during a workout on campus.

“I did a quick workout, coach M had me sign up for the camp,” Bell told SpartanMag. “I think I did really well. Coach M wanted to see if I could bend. He said I can bend, I just play a little high in my stance. (Michalczik) said he knows he can fix that with me.”

“Coach M likes how I move for how big I am,” Bell continued. “He also likes how quick my feet are and, of course, he likes my size. I want to be more aggressive with my hands. Since I have such a long reach, if I am more aggressive with my hands, it will be harder for people to get past me.”

Following his offer, Bell quickly set up an official visit to Michigan State, cancelling a previously-scheduled trip to Kansas to head to East Lansing. Bell also took official visits to West Virginia and Indiana in June.

Bell is the No. 1190 overall recruit in the 2025 class, per theOn3 Industry Rankings. He is also the No. 79 offensive tackle and the No. 23 recruit from Michigan in his class.

Bell is a legacy commitment, as his uncle Dave Sucura played offensive line at Michigan State before spending time as a graduate assistant on the Spartan staff. Bell grew up close to the program due to the family connection.

Michigan State now holds 12commitments in its 2025 class. Bell is the second offensive lineman in the class, joining California offensive guard Drew Nichols.

The Spartans hold additional commitments from California quarterback Leo Hannan, Ohio wide receiver Braylon Collier, Texas receiver Charles Taplin, Wisconsin tight end Emmett Bork, in-state tight endJayden Savoury and in-state running back Jace Clarizio on the offensive side of the ball.

In-state linebackers Charles White and DiMari Malone, along with Florida defensive back George Mullins and cornerback Aydan West, round out the class as the lone current commitments on the defensive side of the ball. Malone is a high school teammate of Bell’s at Dakota.
