The USA can book their ticket to the Copa America 2024 quarter-finals if they collect all three points from Panama on June 27.
After the first spell of Group Stage matches at Copa America 2024, the USMNT and Uruguay, the two expected favorites to advance from Group C, are indeed sitting atop of the group. In fact, the two teams can guarantee their spot in the quarter-finals before they even play one another as long as they win their matches tomorrow.
As Uruguay faces Bolivia, the USMNT takes on Panama, a team they have defeated 18 times in the last 30 years. Panama cannot lose to the Stars and Stripes or else they will make a second straight Group Stage exit at the Copa America.

If the USMNT comes away with a victory, then all it takes is Uruguay beating Bolivia (an extremely likely scenario) to eliminate Los Canaleros from the tournament.
Fajardo needs to be active up top if Panama want to beat the Stars and Stripes. The forward has 11 goals in his 48 international caps, but only one in Panama's last four games.

Tyler Adams, meanwhile, got the nod over Yunus Musah in the midfield but is still being strictly managed after a long-term hamstring injury kept him out of action for nearly the entire 2023/24 season.
