Zelenskyy visits Donbas, introduces new Joint Forces Commander
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the Donetsk region. He introduced the new commander of the Joint Forces, General Andriy Hnatov.
He also held a meeting in the Donetsk region on security and support for people.
"There will be a separate conversation in Kyiv, particularly with officials who must be here and in other areas near the frontline – in difficult communities where people need immediate solutions. Solutions that simply cannot be seen from Kyiv. I was surprised to learn that some relevant officials have not been here for six months or more. There will be a serious conversation, and I will draw appropriate conclusions regarding them," Zelenskyy said.
Mark Rutte becomes new NATO Secretary General
NATO has officially chosen a new leader for the Alliance. The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, has been appointed. He will replace Jens Stoltenberg in this position this October.

Zelenskyy approves decision to establish Unmanned Systems Forces in Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree approving the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to create the Unmanned Systems Forces in Ukraine.
This decree comes into force from the date of its publication (June 25).
Fire reported at launch site for Russian Shahed drones in Crimea
In Crimea, a fire broke out on Cape Chauda in the south of the Feodosia Bay. From there, the Russian occupiers are launching kamikaze drones at Ukraine.
It is not known what caused the fire.
Zelenskyy signs law on English language
The document proposes English to become one of the languages of international communication in Ukraine.
Also, according to the law, Ukrainian officials, military officers serving under contract, middle and senior police officers, and others will now be required to know English.
Lithuania to allocate at least 0.25% of GDP to support Ukraine
"Today at the State Defense Council meeting, we agreed to allocate at least 0.25% of GDP for security and defense support to Ukraine. Lithuania will continue to stand firmly with Ukraine until victory. We will always support freedom," said Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda.
US Embassy in Ukraine confirms death of attaché at Kyiv's Hilton Hotel
"We can confirm the death of a US government official under the direction of the mission chief at the Embassy in Kyiv. The State Department expresses its deepest condolences to the family and close ones of our colleague," the embassy stated.
At the same time, they declined to comment on the death of their employee, citing privacy concerns.
