Man in 20s dies after serious crash in Emneth

A man in his 20s died after a serious crash in Emneth at the start of this week.

Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses following the collision.

Officers were called to the A1101 Outwell Road at 8.25am on Monday when a silver Ford Fiesta collided with a yellow Ford Ranger.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene, including firefighters, paramedics and an air ambulance.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta, a man aged in his 20s, was taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

He was later transferred by air to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with life threatening injuries. He died on Tuesday.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, a man aged in his 60s, was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. He remains there in a serious but stable condition.

The road reopened at around 2pm on Monday.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has any relevant dashcam footage.
