The Armenian government calls for an immediate end to the war in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Yerevan opposes the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, too, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan.

He said that Armenia itself has witnessed and faced similar destructions in the South Caucasus region.

"We have seen the forced displacement of civilians, targeting of civilian infrastructure, and so on. War is always terrible, and we are categorically against it. At the same time, we support not only peace and stability but also the territorial integrity of countries," Mirzoyan said.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan had said that Armenia was not an ally of Russia in the war against Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion in February 2022.
