On300 OL Brock Heath goes in-depth on commitment to Kansas State

Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley Northwest On300 offensive tackle Brock Heath announced his commitment to Kansas State on Thursday morning.

A big recruiting win for head coach Chris Klieman and his staff.

“It was a combination of a bunch of things,” Heath told On3. The four-star chose to stay home over his other finalists in Kansas, Northwestern, Iowa and Nebraska.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Heath becomes commit No. 11 for the Wildcats in 2025.

“First off, they have an outstanding culture with the potential to win Big 12 championships and even get into the CFP.

“Next, I love Coach (Conor) Riley and Coach Klieman. Coach Riley has been there for me through every step of this recruiting process, and I see him as a man who can better me.”

Heath took his official visit this past weekend.

“When I was there for my official visit, the locker room seemed like something I wanted to be a part of,” Heath said. “The guys were very welcoming, and just seemed like dudes I’d want to be around. Another thing is that myself and Maguire Richman have been family friends for as long as I can remember. It’ll be cool to take on college football with him by my side.

“Lastly, I’m going to be a fourth generation K-Stater. My great grandpa played there in the 20s, my grandpa played center there in the 50s, and my dad played basketball there in the 80s. I think there is something to be said about that.”

No question about that.
