Disruption is continuing on the trains through Newbury this morning (Friday), writes Jemima Kerr.
The lines have just reopened having been shut all morning due to a fault with the signalling system.
All lines had been blocked meaning train services were cancelled or delayed.
Disruption is expected to continue for several hours still.
GWR have said: “We’re sorry for the delay to your journey”.
They also said that tickets will be accepted on Jet Black 1 buses between Newbury and Reading and that taxis are being sourced between Bedwyn/Newbury to Reading.
Passengers to Glastonbury have been told to go to Bath Spa and change for a train to Castle Cary.
There is also currently disruption between Didcot Parkway and Reading and also Reading and Basingstoke.
