Ukraine is actively working to ensure that the NATO summit, which will be held in July in Washington, is successful for everyone. The country is considering participation in several platforms, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint press conference with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar.

"Right now, everyone is really working to make this anniversary NATO summit successful. Successful for everyone," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, Ukraine is considering participation in several platforms within the framework of the NATO summit.

"The platform regarding the Patriot air defense coalition. This meeting will definitely take place. And we are working towards the result, as I have already said, towards achieving an appropriate number of Patriot systems for Ukraine," the President noted.

The second platform, according to Zelenskyy, is a substantial package to support Ukrainian military personnel.

"The third issue is the meeting of all security guarantors. All those who, while we are on the way to NATO, are guarantors with a strong document. There will be an appropriate meeting, and we will see what the results will be. Starting from Vilnius, we initiated the NATO-Ukraine Council; there will also be a meeting there, and we expect a strong document. We are working on this," Zelenskyy added.

NATO Summit in Washington

The anniversary NATO summit will be held in Washington from July 9 to 11.

As stated by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the event will focus on developing a roadmap for Ukraine's accession to the Alliance.

Recently, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized that the NATO summit in Washington will be "very good" both for the Alliance and for Ukraine.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna, said that Kyiv expects strategic decisions from allies regarding air defense.
