Predictions from the Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour crew are rolling in ahead of the Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway this weekend.

Kaitlyn Vincie actually started off the picking for this week’s race. She’s looking at Josh Berry and the No. 4 team over at Stewart-Haas Racing to secure their spot in the playoffs, riding the wave of momentum they’ve accumulated over the past couple of weeks.

“I’m going to go first, I’m going with Josh Berry,” Vincie predicted. “Riding the momentum from this week, I don’t know.”

Following up the prediction of his former team reaching victory lane, Kevin Harvick decided to roll with last season’s victor at Nashville in Ross Chastain, believing the No. 1 can get back to Victory Lane in Tennessee.

“I’m going with last year’s winner, Ross Chastain,” Harvick stated. “I think it’s hometown, a lot of people, it’s just kind of a different race track. I don’t think they’ve run as good as they need to run, but he’s just been knocking out decent finishes, and I think that this race track is unique enough to get somebody like Ross in contention to win.”

As for Mamba Smith, Alex Bowman is the prediction. He’s the lone Hendrick Motorsports wheelman without a win in 2024, and although he’s been running well, it’s up to him to lock up his spot in the playoffs with a checkered flag.

“I’m going to go with Alex Bowman and Blake Harris in the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet,” Smith elaborated. “It’s there — it’s Ally’s race weekend. Up until this weekend, and even this weekend, he was running in the Top 10. I think he has, he was tied for the most Top 10s in the season, with like seven or eight, and he was running in the Top 10 when they had their issue. So I think it’s time for them to get a win. The Ally 400, with the No. 48.”

While Harvick believes Bowman has been strong, he’s worried about some engine trouble that we’ve seen from the No. 48 carrying over into this weekend’s race at Nashville.

“Only thing that worries me about that No. 48 is we saw those Gibbs cars go through this with their engines,” Harvick responded. “So, hopefully it’s an isolated situation, but we’ll see. … Sometimes those valve-spring issues kind of creep into all the teams, because sometimes they use some of the similar valve-springs. … There’s a lot that goes into it, as to where they ran and the scenario of the motor, a lot of different things. So I’m just mentioning it, just to keep an eye on it.”

Alas, the Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour crew will have their money on Josh Berry, Ross Chastain and Alex Bowman on Sunday. All three wheelmen don’t have a win in 2024, so it would certainly shake things up if either found Victory Lane during the Ally 400.
