Jelly Roll Reveals the One Country Song That Stops Him in His Tracks Every Time [Exclusive]

Jelly Roll

Lately, Jelly Roll has been putting out hit after hit on country radio. There is almost never a time that you can go an hour of your life without being exposed to a Jelly Roll song.

But, what is the man who’s making the songs that people are listening to, listening to?

I recently was granted some exclusive time with the “I Am Not Okay” singer on Taste of Country Nights With Evan Paul, and I was curious to know what is a country song that when he hears it, it stops him in his tracks.

A country song that means so much to him, that he must stop and listen to the whole thing whenever it comes on.

Jelly said, “God, there’s so many of those.”

About five seconds or so went by, then Jelly had a light go off in his head and had an answer.

“‘How a Cowgirl Says Goodbye,’ by Tracy Lawrence,” he replied. “I loved that record, man. I thought it was such a really cool spin on a break-up, you know what I mean?”

The “Son of a Sinner” singer continued diving into what makes that one particular country song garner his attention every single time.

It was just like this happy fiddle and but these super sultry lyrics. Anytime I hear it, it tickles my bones like that. No matter where I am at in life, I will stop and listen to it.

If you see Jelly Roll with headphones on or earbuds in, nodding his head up and down and in the zone, just know that he might not be listening to what you think he is listening to.

Jelly Roll’s knowledge of country music runs deep, and he is not afraid to show it.
