Today we are looking at the Sunlu S4 FilaDryer this unit is a life changer for me! I got this from Sunlu about a month ago and with the seasons changing especially with summer here humidity in my household is bad. That’s where this dyer comes in to save the day.
Holding 4 rolls of filament it can keep them dry I usually start the dryer at the same time I turn on my printer and it reaches the temp in no time! It saved a roll I had that had become brittle from moisture. Now when it comes to setting up its simple step-by-step instructions have you up and running in no time.
Included in the box are a manual, 4 nylon tubes for feeding the filament directly from the dryer, and includes plugs for the holes you don’t use to keep heat in, and a power cord. This dryer is super easy to get going just plug in and go also you can change the front light patterns or turn them off. You can have 4 filaments in this dryer going to different printers as well and the rolling is smooth and never have any hang-ups.
The dryer also has a timer so let’s say you start a print and walk away. The dryer will turn itself off after the time you set, mine is default at 6 hours and I don’t change it. Also, I have used various filaments in this device Sunlu, and Amazon basic all work great, the moisture one was about 6 months old out in the open basic from my Ender 3v2 and it came back around. One last point this dryer is about the same noise level as my printer so it makes noise but honestly if you 3D print you won’t even notice.
