George Strait and Keith Urban Earn a Rare ‘First’ With Walk of Fame

When it comes to awards, it’s not very often that you can have a “first” for George Strait or Keith Urban, but — sure enough — that is set to happen.

Strait and Urban were named as members of the Walk of Fame Class for 2025. The two country stars are a part of a class that features 34 other members.

Movies: John Carpenter, Jessica Chastain, Bill Duke, Robert Englund, Emilio Estevez, Colin Farrell, Jane Fonda, Nia Long, Lisa Lu, Glynn Turman and Toni Vaz

Television: Fran Drescher, Lauren Graham, Bill Nye, Molly Shannon, Sherri Shepherd, Courtney B. Vance, Chris Wallace, Trey Parker and Matt Stone (double ceremony)

Recording: Fantasia, Depeche Mode, Los Bukis, The B-52s, Green Day, The Isley Brothers, Busta Rhymes, George Strait, Keith Urban, WAR and Prince (Posthumous)

Theatre: Misty Copeland and Alan Cumming

Radio: Adam Carolla

No word on when the unveiling for Urban or Strait will be, but it won’t be the first Star in the Walk of Fame for the Keith Urban family. His wife, Nicole Kidman, got her star back in 2003, but that was three years before she married Urban.

As for Strait, he did appear in the 1992 movie Pure Country and also voiced a role in the animated show King of the Hill back in 2003.
