The Rackley Roofing 200 brought out the emotions in Layne Riggs and Stefan Parsons. It’s safe to say, they do not agree with each other. These two NASCAR drivers had an argument on pit road but didn’t leave seeing eye-to-eye.

Layne Riggs is a rookie looking to make a mark. He has had some very strong runs this season. He’s also had some bad ones, and at times, bad luck.

Stefan Parsons and Riggs got into each other multiple times on the track. Multiple laps of battling with one another. So, Riggs gave him a bump and sent Parsons around. Then NASCAR penalized him for two laps.

Parsons felt like he had to go speak to Riggs after the race.

It is very interesting how Parsons approached this. He apparently didn’t mean to make contact with Riggs all those times. He was fighting an ill-handling truck. Riggs doesn’t seem to buy it all that much.

At the end of the race, Parsons would finish P26. Funny enough, both Parsons and Riggs ended up two laps down. Riggs finished P25. Even with the penalty, the 38 truck was able to finish ahead of the 75.

While you don’t want drivers wrecking each other all over the place, I don’t understand the penalty to Layne Riggs. It felt like a situation where drivers would self-police and that is exactly what Layne did. But NASCAR sees it a different way, so why would my opinion matter?

Both of these drivers are looking to run well each week. They are young and looking for more opportunities, Parsons in particular. This incident between the two is probably two drivers getting into it a bit too much. Not sure we need to see or will see more from this rivalry.

Tonight’s race was all about Christian Eckes, anyway. There were a few moments, like the Layne Riggs penalty, that made this an interesting race. Drivers were coming and going in the top-10.

The one constant was Eckes. He ledevery single lap on his way to a dominating performance in Nashville. While other drivers were getting into one another and getting into personal spats, Eckes was out front turning laps on his way to winning his third race of the season.

There are only 10 races left in the season, three until the playoffs. This is the time of the season where drivers have to buckle down and have their best performances.
