Image released in hunt for hi-vis cyclist after woman assaulted and jewellery stolen during violent burglary in Parkfield, near Wildernesse Golf Club, Sevenoaks

An image has been issued in the hunt for a cyclist wanted in connection with a violent burglary.

Police were called after a woman was allegedly assaulted and jewellery was stolen during the heist from a home in Parkfield, near Wildernesse Golf Club, Sevenoaks.

The incident happened on Friday, June 21 when a man entered a property just before 4pm.

The suspect left after stealing several items, including jewellery.

Detectives have now released a CCTV image of a cyclist they would like to speak to.

Police have identified a number of roads he may have used and are urging motorists to check for any dashcam footage between 3pm and 6.30pm.

These specifically include routes leading to surrounding areas including Underriver, Riverhill, Bitchet Green and Hildenborough.

DI Maxine Harris, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “We are asking for drivers to help us to locate this cyclist, who should not be approached.

“He was wearing a high visibility vest and we know that at around 4.50pm he made his way along Park Lane, in the vicinity of the Buck’s Head pub and Sevenoaks Preparatory School.

“We have since had patrols in this area stopping and speaking to drivers to hopefully jog their memories and are urging anyone else who travels in this location to please also check your dashcams.

“You may have evidence which is vital to this investigation.”

Residents with CCTV and doorbell cameras are also being asked to review footage which may assist the investigation.
