Skip Johnson posts message amid Oklahoma contract talks, Texas A&M interest

After news broke of his plans to stay at Oklahoma, Skip Johnson shared a message to the Sooners Saturday afternoon. He made a post on social media indicating he was home.

Johnson took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a house emoji and said “Boomer Sooner” as his future at OU became clear. D1 Baseball’s Kendall Rogers reported the expectation is the Sooners will keep their head coach amid Texas A&M’s pursuit, including a new deal.

Johnson’s post further showed his commitment to Oklahoma after seven seasons with the program. As for Texas A&M, its search to replace Jim Schlossnagle will continue.
