Florida State recruiting has been on a bit of a hot streak lately — one which continued with the addition of Omaha (Neb.) Millard South four-star tight end Chase Loftin on Saturday. Loftin’s pledge moved the Seminoles up three spots to No. 9 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Loftin took his official visit to Tallahassee the weekend of June 7.

“It’s one of those places where I walk in and feel at home,” Loftin said at the time. “I mean, obviously, the glitter and stuff, the food and stuff, all that has been amazing. But continuing to build those relationships is what’s important.”

Loftin was the fourth commitment for FSU this week, joining four-star defensive linemen Kevin Wynn and Myron Charles in addition to four-star receiver CJ Wiley.

Florida State Class Breakdown

The current headliner in the class is Jacksonville Raines five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas — who now ranks No. 14 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking.

“I wanted to make the decision for a good little minute now,” Thomas told Warchant after his December commitment. “I actually wanted to commit the day after they had said that Florida State wasn’t going to go to the playoffs, which I was kind of upset about because I was rooting for them. … It hurt me, so I was like, ‘OK, I’m gonna make it to where they can’t count us out again.”

On the offensive side, Milton (Ga.) four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley was the newest addition to the class before Loftin, as he picked the Noles over Georgia and LSU on June 25. Wiley is a top-50 recruit overall and the No. 6 WR in the 2025 On300. Jacksonville Mandarin four-star quarterback pledge Tramell Jones has continued to see his stock rise and is currently the No. 26 QB in the nation.

On defense, Cocoa four-star EDGE Javion Hilson is a former Alabama pledge who joined the fold in Tallahassee in January following the retirement of Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban. He remains a top-50 overall recruit. Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn is a top-150 prospect who also committed in June. Sanford Seminole four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard rounds out the class.
