Jamaica and Venezuela clash on the final group stage matchday in Copa America 2024 action.
The Reggae Boyz have yet to come away with three points at the competition with a 1-0 defeat to Mexico and a 3-1 loss to Ecuador. Jamaica were the first team to be eliminated from the tournament after the defeat to Ecuador with zero points in last place in Group B, and they face an uphill battle if they wish to come away with a consolation win against the group leaders.
On the other hand, Venezuela have been flying thus far at Copa America. The team managed to pull of a 2-1 comeback victory over Ecuador in their opening match before holding on for a 1-0 win against Mexico thanks to Jose Salomon Rondo's second-half penalty. As Venezuela have already punched their ticket to the next round of Copa America, we could see them take their foot off the gas just a little in order to conserve energy for the quarter-finals.
