Sutton Bridge man in King’s Lynn court for hiding wraps of cocaine up his bottom

An engineer had hidden multiple wraps of cocaine in his bottom when he and others were stopped by police.

Luke Robinson, 38, of Chestnut Terrace in Sutton Bridge, appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday where he admitted being in possession of a Class A drug.

Prosecutor Sarah Fiddy told the court that in Wisbech on April 14, police decided to pull over a vehicle that Robinson was a passenger in.

Officers noted they had difficulty in pulling over the car, but it eventually stopped.

Police saw Robinson stuffing items down his trousers and was arrested and taken to Lynn’s Police Investigation Centre.

A strip search was carried out, where one cocaine wrap was found in Robinson’s bottom.

Eventually, nine more wraps of cocaine were revealed.

Ms Fiddy said that Robinson had previously committed a total of 20 offences.

In mitigation, George Sorrell said that Robinson had been “experimenting” with drugs at the time.

“He expresses remorse and regret for his actions,” said Mr Sorrell.

“He had worries at the time, police had sympathy for him and referred him for counselling.”

Robinson was fined £500 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £200 and court costs of £85.
