Report: What Galatasaray have now told Crystal Palace about Wilfried Zaha

Galatasaray have now been in touch with Crystal Palace to send an interesting message about Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivory Coast international has just enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with the Turkish giants, beating Fenerbahce to the Super Lig title after a remarkable haul of 102 points.

Furthermore, the 31-year-old also finally got to experience the UEFA Champions League, romantically scoring in a 3-2 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford back in October.

Now, Galatasaray have told Crystal Palace something quite intriguing about Wilfried Zaha

Galatasaray send Wilfried Zaha message to Crystal Palace

A story from the Mirror now claims that Galatasaray have told Crystal Palace the Ivorian is up for sale this summer as they attempt to remove his £300,000-a-week wages from the salary bill.

It is said that the Turkish champions can no longer afford to pay Zaha this salary, and have also told other Premier League sides that he is on the market this summer.

Galatasaray are willing to accept a small fee for the man from Abidjan – given their desperation to offload his wages – while the winger himself would have to accept a pay cut to return to the Premier League.

If nothing concrete develops, it is even said that Galatasaray could pay Zaha off and make him a free agent.

Interestingly, the Mirror mention that Crystal Palace are keen to bring the Selhurst Park favourite back to SE25 – while West Ham and Wolves are also interested.

Cheap deal would make a lot of sense

Putting sentiment aside, a cheap deal to bring Zaha back would actually make a lot of sense – especially if someone pays Crystal Palace’s £20m asking price for Odsonne Edouard this summer.

As we all know, Zaha can operate on either flank or as a striker, so his return would provide Oliver Glasner with an option all across the frontline, not to mention one who is obviously very familiar with the surroundings at Selhurst Park, and won’t need any time to settle in.

With Michael Olise close to joining Bayern Munich, this would be a move that lifts the mood amongst fans again, as a genuine legend of Crystal Palace could soon return to Selhurst Park ahead of a 2024/25 campaign where many are dreaming of European qualification.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as there were even whispers from some in south London that Zaha’s car was spotted around Norwood earlier this week…
