Arsenal fans are all saying the same thing about Bukayo Saka after dramatic England win at Euro 2024

Arsenal fans have given their verdict on Bukayo Saka’s performance today for England against Slovakia at Euro 2024.

The 22-year-old forward was once again named in the Three Lions starting XI in his favoured right-wing position, with the likes of Ian Wright suggesting that Saka could fill in at left-back, with Kieran Trippier failing to impress in the position during the group stages.

With Saka himself shooting down the idea of playing back in defence, the Arsenal superstar had the chance to show himself why he deserves to remain as England’s main right-winger with Gareth Southgate’s squad now in the knockout stage of the competition.

Arsenal fans impressed with Saka in frantic England win

It looked to be one of the worst results in England’s history, yet a last-minute Jude Bellingham equaliser saved Southgate from his most embarrassing defeat yet at the hands of Slovakia, who led 1-0 for most of the match.

With Harry Kane firing England into the lead mere seconds after the start of extra-time, Saka just about booked his ticket into the quarter-finals of the Euros, where the Arsenal winger played the entire match, starting the game out on right-wing and featuring at left-back and right-wingback.

And Arsenal fans were positive about Saka’s performance for England against Slovakia.

One Arsenal fan wrote: “Saka is just so good. England’s best player, every time.”

Another supporter posted: “Saka you’re unreal, I love you.”

Indeed, England were mere seconds from complete disaster, with Saka one of the many players who likely would have been targeted had the Three Lions done the unthinkable and crashed out of the Euros.

Yet the footballing gods were on the side of England this evening, and for the Hale End graduate, Saka’s European Championship adventure got to live another day, where Switzerland will be next up for Southgate and company.

One Arsenal fan wrote: “This is the Saka they wanted benched?”

Another supporter posted after a strong first-half from Saka: “Saka is one of the best players in the world and top 5 in the Premier League.”

Saka showed his quality to the England squad vs Slovakia

Saka’s 2024 Euro campaign has made for unusual viewing this summer, with the Arsenal forward showing his quality in moments yet not really having a standout performance as of yet.

However, against Slovakia today, Saka showed the quality and the versatility in his game that has made the winger one of Arsenal’s best players and one of England’s most consistent performers over the last three years.

With a big test coming up next against Switzerland, Saka will want to prove himself yet again for the Three Lions after coming out on top today, with the Arsenal attacker likely to be set on pushing England to the semi-finals.
