Baltimore St. Frances Academy four-star cornerback Blake Woodby decommitted from Ohio State on May 16. Just over a month later, he’s already narrowed his list of contenders down once again.

Auburn, Maryland and Oregon are the finalists for the 5-foot-10, 185-pounder, he told Rivals on Sunday.

Woodby is the No. 80 overall prospect and No. 8 corner in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Maryland.

Each of the three programs have had Woodby on campus this year. Oregon had him back in Eugene ahead of his decommitment from the Buckeyes. He then logged an official visit to Auburn on May 31 and followed with an OV at Maryland on June 21.

The Tigers are the program with the momentum, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Since the end of May, four picks have been logged in favor of Hugh Freeze and Co. landing the coveted defensive back.

Woodby was on The Plains in March, then returned for his official in the lead-up to June. He told Auburn Live after the OV that he’s planning to return to campus once more for Big Cat weekend at the end of July.

“I feel more and more comfortable at Auburn,” Woodby said. “And they make it easy. It feels like home. It feels like family. Everybody knows everybody. I know everybody from my official visit, from the equipment people to the offensive staff to the defensive staff to the special teams staff.”

The Ducks also continue to intrigue Woodby. Last cycle, Oregon signed his St. Frances teammate and former top-100 corner Ify Obidegwu. Ducks CBs coach Rashad Wadood has also made an impact on Woodby’s recruitment.

“Coach (Rashad) Wadood, that’s one of my favorite coaches that recruited me throughout my process when my recruitment was open,” Woodby told ScoopDuck in April. “So want a chance to go see him, go and see Coach Hamp (Chris Hampton). It’s a good opportunity.”
