Harrison Burton had a strong message for Carson Hocevar after he got spun by him under caution during the final stage of the Nashville Cup Series race. After the incident, Burton went after Hocevar who hit him after Brad Keselowski hit the wall.

“He’s wrecked you under green, he’s wrecked you under caution” Burton was told on the radio.

Burton replied: “I’m f***ing over. I’m done with it. He just wrecked me under caution because I blocked him on the backstretch. He can kiss my ass.”

Burton and Hocevar and the younger drivers in the Cup Series as Burton is 23 and Hocevar is 21. Burton is in his third season as a full-time driver in the Cup Series and has recorded one top-10 finish this year. Hocevar is in his first-year as a full-time Cup Series driver and has recorded two top-10 finishes.

Back in March, Burton spoke to Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports about the relationship he has with his father, former NASCAR driver and current NBC Sports analyst Jeff Burton.

“He does a little of both. I think there’s times when he’s very useful and with his racing IQ, he’s been around for so long, he’s seen it all, he’s done it all,” Harrison Burton said. “If I didn’t use him as a resource in my racing career I’d be dumb, right?”

Harrison Burton ready to do big things with Wood Brothers Racing

Burton drives for Wood Brothers Racing. In his career, Burton has recorded five-top 10 finishes with his best finish occuring last year at Darlington (P6).

“Since I began racing quarter midgets, the hope and goal was always to become a full-time driver in the NASCAR Cup Series,” Burton said when joining Wood Brothers Racing in July 2021. “Now, I get to do this with one of the most storied teams in NASCAR history in the Wood Brothers and with an association with Ford Motor Company and Ford Performance.

“I don’t think I could have dreamt of a better situation to put myself in when it comes to the start of my NASCAR Cup Series career. Add to that the technical alliance with Team Penske and the knowledge I’ll gain from working with their drivers and I’m really excited for 2022 and the future. This is a great opportunity for me and I can’t thank Eddie and Len Wood enough for giving me this chance.”
