Israel released 55 Palestinians on Monday detained during its assault on Gaza, as Israeli forces continue their siege on Gaza City's Shujaiya neighbourhood.
Mohammed Abu Selmia was detained in November when Israeli forces raided Al-Shifa Hospital.
Abu Selmia accused Israeli authorities of subjecting Palestinian detainees to "daily physical and psychological humiliation" in a video following his release.
At the same time, several Palestinians were injured as Israeli forces assaulted Gaza City, while attacks on Shujaiya, east of the city, continued.
