Liverpool should be in for another strong showing in the Premier League thanks to the squad left by Jurgen Klopp.
The German worked very hard under the watchful guidance of owners FSG in order to bring silverware to Anfield.
And they certainly managed that, with Klopp winning seven major trophies during his hugely successful spell at the club.
Now it is the turn of Arne Slot at Anfield, with the Dutchman certainly having big boots to fill in the red half of Merseyside.
He will undoubtedly be relying on others to help ease his transition from Feyenoord, with the senior players particularly needing to step up.
Liverpool insiders want more from senior trio next season
Slot has already been making moves with such players, having called Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk after Klopp’s exit.
The centre-back shone once again for the Reds last time, with many of his teammates having underwhelming campaigns.

According to The Athletic, senior trio Darwin Nunez, Ibrahima Konate and Dominik Szoboszlai all fall into that category, with Liverpool insiders having a strong belief that they form part of the untapped potential in the squad.
The publication noted that Slot will now be tasked with getting the three players firing once more, with the trio all fading badly last time out, with their form and confidence having declined.

Slot does need time to find himself at Anfield and find out exactly what needs to be done before the new season gets underway.
But given the fine margins of success, a slow start simply isn’t acceptable, but the boss has given himself a headstart having already watched many Liverpool training sessions and matches.

He will, however, have to wait some time before he can get to know his players inside out, with many involved in international competition.
Nunez is currently at Copa America with Uruguay, with Konate involved with France at Euro 2024, a competition in which Szoboszlai has already exited with Hungary.
All three players were not at their best last time out, but a strong pre-season and perhaps some words with Slot could help them fulfil their evidently fantastic potential.
