A van has ploughed into a crossing point on a main road.
The incident happened this afternoon in Canterbury Road East, Ramsgate.

Pictures of the route show a vehicle which appears to have struck a lamppost on the crossing point, causing damage to its front bumper.
Police are there, with motorists being diverted around the van.
Resident Mick Cairns spotted the vehicle as police arrived at the scene and said: “I was only passing by when the tow truck turned up and the police were holding the traffic both ways.
“It had happened at least half an hour before I got there. The traffic was way back to Lord of the Manor [building] and up the other way to St Lawrence.”
The emergency services have been contacted for comment.
