Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 2: Over 1,280 soldiers and 56 artillery systems more

On July 2, the Russian army suffered losses of 1,280 military personnel. The total losses in Russia's armed forces reached 545,090 personnel. Additionally, 56 Russian artillery systems, 16 armored vehicles, and 8 tanks were destroyed, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

From February 24, 2022, to July 2, 2024, approximate combat losses of the adversary have been as follows:

  • personnel - 545,090 (+1,280) eliminated;
  • tanks - 8,107 (+8);
  • armored personnel vehicles - 15,566 (+16);
  • artillery systems - 14,655 (+56);
  • MLRS - 1,114 (+3);
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems - 874;
  • aircraft - 360;
  • helicopters - 326;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 11,641 (+21);
  • cruise missiles - 2,335 (+2);
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles & fuel tanks - 19,787 (+74);
  • special equipment - 2,452 (+4).

According to the latest update from the General Staff, the situation on the front line remains tense but controlled. On July 1st, there were 161 combat clashes reported. The heaviest enemy attacks were concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction.
