Third quarter revenue increases for French food services firm Sodexo

Revenue increased in the third quarter for French food services and facilities management company Sodexo SA compared to the same period of the previous year.

The increase was helped by almost all geographies, especially North America, the company said on Tuesday.

Sophie Bellon, chief executive of Sodexo, said: "Our commercial momentum in food services remains strong, driven by continued first-time outsourcing opportunities, the ramp-up of new operating models and the quality of our branded offers."

For the three-month period, Sodexo posted revenue of €6.074 billion ($6.519 billion), higher than the €5.755 billion reported for the same period last year.

Revenue from North America climbed to €2.904 billion from the previous year's €2.658 billion.

Looking ahead, for the full year, the company reaffirmed its annual guidance, still expecting organic revenue growth at the top of the 6% to 8% range.
