A male employee was injured Tuesday after a fire broke out at a refinery belonging to Idemitsu Kosan Co. near Tokyo, police and the company said.
Firefighters received a call at around 2:30 p.m. reporting that oil had leaked and caught fire at the complex in Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture. The fire started in a facility manufacturing lubricating oils, according to the complex and other sources.
The employee in his 20s was taken to hospital with burns, they said.
