How Harry Gray has reacted on Instagram to brother Archie's move from Leeds to Tottenham

Archie Gray has completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur from Leeds United with a deal confirmed on Tuesday, and his brother Harry Gray has now reacted on Instagram.

The 18-year-old starred for Leeds during the 2023-24 campaign, clocking up more than 50 appearances for the club as Daniel Farke’s men pushed for promotion to the Premier League and reaching Wembley.

But defeat to Southampton left Leeds facing another season in The Championship. It left The 49ers with the need to sell to comply with Profit & Sustainability rules, dealing with debt left by Andrea Radrizzani.

Gray is not the only player that has left Leeds permanently, with Marc Roca also leaving to join Real Betis permanently. Charlie Cresswell was due to go to Toulouse but a deal is off, Diego Llorente may join Betis.

But Gray’s move puts Leeds in a much better state financially, with Joe Rodon coming the other way. A deal that has upset Leeds supporters but may have been required, and brother Harry has now reacted.

Harry Gray reacts as brother Archie completes Tottenham move

Leeds attempted to explain the decision to sell Gray to Spurs in their confirmation on the club’s website. Sympathetically, they try to understand the pain felt by Leeds fans that Gray’s sale has caused of late.

But it is a move that hands Leeds a big lump sum of cash, ends any worry about PSR breaches and sees the return of Rodon. A deal that had to be done in the end as Leeds prepare for the 2024-25 campaign.

Younger brother Harry, 15, is currently starring in the academy and with the Under-18 Leeds side and he posted a wordless reaction on his Instagram story, simply uploading three heart emojis in reaction.

Who could be the next Archie Gray at Elland Road?

Leeds have always been famed for their incredible talent coming through the ranks. The Thorp Arch conveyor belt has produced some magic over the years like James Milner, Kalvin Phillips and plenty more.

Gray might just top the lot, showing more potential than maybe any other to come through the academy. But Wales midfielder Charlie Crew at 17 might just be able to match Gray, already on the bench last term.

And of course, it goes without saying that his younger brother Harry is also a stand-out in the Under-18 side at just 15. The gem will have pressure on his shoulders to follow Archie, but has the potential to do it.
