Harry Kane says £225,000-a-week Man City star is actually more skillful than Jude Bellingham

Harry Kane has made an interesting claim about how skillful one Manchester City player is.

The Bayern Munich talisman has had the pleasure of playing alongside Manchester City’s cohort of Phil Foden, John Stones, Jack Grealish, Kalvin Phillips and Kyle Walker for the Three Lions — who he believes is his hardest opponent in England training.

With Grealish and Phillips omitted from England’s squad for Euro 2024, Kane continues to train and play with Foden, Stones and Walker. The 30-year-old will be hoping that the City trident at their best as their country face Switzerland in the quarter-finals of the European Championship on Saturday.

Harry Kane makes fresh claim about Phil Foden

The Three Lions have plenty of players blessed with incredible amounts of skill — with names like Cole Palmer, Eberechi Eze and Kobbie Mainoo jumping off the page.

Jude Bellingham is perhaps one of, if not the standout name in the squad due to his incredibly quick feet and brilliant technique.

The 21-year-old’s acrobatic equaliser against Slovakia was an indicator of how gifted he is both technically and physically.

But Kane believes Foden is more skillful than Bellingham, as he views him as the most skillful player in the England squad.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker instantly replied: “Phil Foden”, when asked by Pro Direct Soccer on TikTok about which player has the most skill in the national team.

Phil Foden is certainly more skillful than Jude Bellingham

While Foden and Bellingham are comparable in terms of their quality and regarding which player thrives more in advances areas, the former being more skillful is unquestionable.

The £225,000-a-week man’s technique is otherworldly — with Declan Rice telling The Times that he revealed that “everyone” in the England camp were marveling at how outstanding he is in training.

The Real Madrid superstar’s technical security, first touch and dribbling in tight areas is not as polished in comparison to Foden — while perhaps his ability to arrive late into the box, engine and leadership could be factors where he is a superior player.

But in terms of skill, the Manchester City midfielder is more naturally gifted than Bellingham.
