On Tuesday, July 2, Ukraine and Czechia held another round of talks on signing a bilateral security agreement. The parties noted significant progress, according to the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The talks with Czechia were held by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva.

The Czech delegation was headed by the Director General for Security and Multilateral Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czechia David Konecký.

"The parties noted significant progress in the preparation of the draft future agreement and agreed on further steps to finalize it so that the state leaders could sign the document in the near future," the Presidential Office notes.

Security guarantees for Ukraine

Ukraine has already signed 20 security agreements with partner countries. Under these agreements, Ukraine will receive $60 billion in military support annually.

In particular, Ukraine has recently signed security guarantees with the European Union, Estonia, and Lithuania.

We also recall that Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala recently announced that Ukraine and Czechia would sign a security guarantee agreement at the European Political Community summit in London on July 18.
