Ineos sanction huge Nice exit deal for French star who was on Manchester United’s radar

It is clear that it is not going to be a case of Ineos moving every major player from Nice to their sister club Manchester United.

United and Nice have held talks over a deal for Jean-Clair Todibo, but that has stalled due to Uefa regulations over club’s competing in the same competition.

Whilst United and Ineos are working on options to try and force through a move for Todibo another Nice player, who was considered for a move to Old Trafford, is now heading elsewhere.

Nice agree deal with Juventus for Khephren Thuram

HITC can confirm that Nice have come to agreement with Italian giants Juventus over Khephren Thuram.

Nice were in a position where they had to look to sell Thuram this summer as the 23-year-old has turned down the chance to sign an extension and with just 12-months left on his deal, the decision was made to sell now.

United were one of many English sides who had shown a strong interest in Thuram over the past 12-months with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham all impressed with the French international midfielder.

However, Juve have made their move and come to agreement with Nice on a deal worth €25million.

The player is understood to have agreed terms with the Turin giants on a five-year deal and it will mean Thuram joining up with the club where his father Lillian is still regarded as a legend having spent five years with the club from 2001 to 2006 and helped them to a couple of Serie A crowns.

Thuram also moves to Italy where he was actually born during his father’s playing career, and will join up with his older brother Marcus, who is plays for Inter Milan.

Juventus enjoying busy summer more to following including Teun Koopmeiners

The move for Thuram is the latest move for Juventus who have had one of the busiest summers in Europe thus far.

Having secured their new head coach in the shape of Thiago Motta – coming in from Bologna, they have already two players to their squad in the shape of Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and Douglas Luiz, who arrived from Aston Villa.

Now Thuram is coming in with his deal agreed, but despite having two new midfielders they are not done in that area as their main summer target is another in the shape of Teun Koopmeiners.

Atalanta’s Dutch star won’t come cheap as the Europa League winners want around €60million for him and it is something that Juve are working on, although the player is already believed to have agreed personal terms.
