Ahead of training camp in Oxnard later this month, the betting lines for Dak Prescott‘s 2024 season stats are out from the Vegas oddsmakers. BetOnline shared this week the over/under lines for the Dallas Cowboys star’s ninth season in the league, including totals for regular-season passing yards, touchdowns and interceptions.

After finishing third in total passing yards in the regular season last year, Prescott’s over/under line for passing yards this year is 4,050 (and a half) yards. He tallied 4,516 yards in 2023, just over 100 yards shy of Tua Tagovailoa‘s league-leading mark, and 59 yards behind Lions starter Jared Goff. The total of 4,050 yards is a line Prescott has crossed in three out of eight seasons so far in his career. All three came in the last five years and in seasons where he was fully healthy.

Prescott’s stat projections suggest drop off from 2023

As for getting into the endzone, no one was better at it in 2023 than Prescott. He had a league-leading 36 passing touchdowns last year, which was one short of his career-high, which he posted in 2021. The next-highest-scoring quarterback, Jordan Love, threw 34 touchdowns. Las Vegas has the line for the Cowboys star at 29.5 passing touchdowns for 2024, a mark he has surpassed in three out of eight seasons, all in the last five years.

After notching a career-high 15 interceptions in 2022, Prescott managed to bring the number of turnovers down to nine last season. Las Vegas set the line a little higher this time around, pushing it to 11.5 interceptions for 2024. He has only thrown more than 11 interceptions in a single regular season twice in his career so far.

Despite being in the race for the MVP award last season, Prescott currently ranks 10th in the MVP odds for 2024. He’s behind Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, CJ Stroud, Jalen Hurts, Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, Brock Purdy and Jordan Love with +2000 odds.

Cowboys win total odds revealed

The Cowboys hit the over for their 2023 win total by going 12-5 for the third consecutive season under Mike McCarthy and the stage is set for them to do it again in 2024. According to BetOnline, the opening over/under for the Cowboys’ 2024 win total is 10 games. Last season, they had an over/under of 9.5 games.

Based on BetOnline’s initial odds, the Dallas Cowboys are projected to finish with the second-best record in the NFC East. Las Vegas oddsmakers set the over/under for the Philadelphia Eagles at 10.5 wins, with 7.5 wins for the Washington Commanders under Dan Quinn in his first year and 6.5 wins for the New York Giants.

Of all the NFC East teams, the Commanders are expected to make the biggest jump after acquiring a litany of veterans, many from the Cowboys, in free agency. They also have the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, as well as two early second-round picks.

Meanwhile, if the Cowboys push on their over/under and win just 10 games, it will be a step back in Dallas. A 10-win season and a first-round playoff loss could spell the end of the Mike McCarthy/Dak Prescott era for Jerry Jones’ franchise.

Other NFL teams with the opening win total set at over/under 10 wins are the Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins. Both were playoff teams in 2023.
