West Norfolk’s Step Five and Six football sides are in pre-season action this weekend.
While Step Two National League North outfit Lynn Town are playing at Deeping Rangers (see page 39), Downham Town, Fakenham Town, Heacham and Swaffham are also competing.
Eastern Counties League Premier Division side Downham entertain Isthmian League North side Newmarket Town on Friday at 7.30pm, before entertaining Cambridgeshire County League team Wisbech St Mary next Wednesday (7pm).
Fellow Eastern Counties Premier outfit Fakenham play Isthmian Northers Gorleston at a neutral venue on Friday evening before travelling to play Eastern Counties First Division North Swaffham Town on Tuesday.
Heacham, also of Eastern Counties Premier, have already played one game, losing 4-1 at home to Heacham last Saturday. They play again next Tuesday when they entertain Deeping Rangers, kick-off 7.45pm.
Swaffham lost their opening pre-season game at home to Dereham Town on Monday. On Saturday they entertain Letchworth Garden City, kick-off 3pm, before the game with Fakenham on Tuesday.
