Celtic firm up Adam Idah interest as the Bhoys make their move with approach

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has made no secret of the fact he wants Adam Idah back at the club following his successful loan spell last term.

Now back at Norwich City, the Republic of Ireland international registered nine goals in 19 appearances last term, helping the Bhoys to claim a domestic double.

Rodgers made it clear following Idah’s Scottish Cup final-winning goal against Rangers that he would like to deal him in permanently.

Despite that, Canaries boss Johannes Hoff Thorup signalled his intention to run the rule over the striker in pre-season.

With supporters desperate for some action on the recruitment front, a significant update has now broken regarding Celtic’s desire to have Idah back at Parkhead.

Celtic make approach for Adam Idah

According to Sky Sports, Celtic have now made an approach to sign Idah on a permanent basis from Norwich.

When he joined the club on loan in January, no initial buyout clause was inserted into his agreement, which has prolonged the timeline of a potential transfer.

Nevertheless, Rodgers and company now look to have made their move, though no details over a potential fee or whether his current side would accept any such proposal have come to light in the attached report.

Their sporting director, Ben Knapper, has conceded that sales are likely at Carrow Road to help fund their self-sustaining business model.

Whether Idah is part of the equation remains to be seen. He has previously admitted that he can’t make any guarantees over what his future could hold.

Either way, Norwich now have a decision to make as Celtic firm up their interest in the talented forward. Lets get a deal done to bring him to Parkhead!
