Report: £26m Tottenham player has decided which club he wants to join this summer as exit talks continue

Tottenham Hotspur have seen one of their players make a decision on where he would like his next club to be.

A summer of exits has kicked off Tottenham‘s transfer window with a number of players departing from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Ange Postecoglou has had plenty of time now to assess his squad and decide which are going to be the players to take Spurs forward.

Daniel Levy has already sanctioned the exits of numerous Tottenham players this summer with Joe Rodon marking the first sale as he headed off to Leeds United.

There is one player who remains on the transfer list in north London who has now made a decision on who he’d like his next club to be.

Tottenham player decides he wants to join Champions League club

The summer transfer window has provided Spurs with the opportunity to clear the decks of the players he no longer wants at the club.

Spurs have provided the Australian with two signings this summer in Timo Werner – on loan – and youngster Archie Gray.

Work is going in to developing Postecoglou’s project in north London but there remains a number of players who could potentially depart before the new season begins.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Emerson Royal has put AC Milan’s interest at the top of his offers this summer.

It is claimed in the report that the £26m Brazilian full-back has a number of options from abroad this summer as his exit from Spurs looms.

Key hours await the proposed move from Spurs to Milan with the two clubs holding discussions over the coming days about the finances involved.

Despite Spurs holding out for €30m (£25m) at first, it is now claimed it could take just €15m (£12.5m) to secure the signature of the right-back.

Tottenham already have right-back cover in Archie Gray

Earlier this week, Spurs announced the signing of 18-year-old Gray from Leeds and he is a player who could offer Spurs with cover in Emerson’s position.

Of course, Pedro Porro will hold down the spot at right-back after an impressive 2023/24 campaign under the Australian manager.

However, with the Europa League campaign and domestic competitions will require Postecoglou to rotate his squad to remain competitive over the season.

Despite arriving as a midfielder, Gray has experience playing at right-back which could well see Spurs open the door for Emerson’s exit.
