Russia strikes energy facility in Chernihiv region, thousands left without power

In the Chernihiv region, the air alert due to the Russian drone attack lasted for more than 5 hours. One of the Russian drones hit the power facility, according to the head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Viacheslav Chaus.

"For now, 5,963 consumers remain without electricity. Energy experts are working on restoration," Chaus notes.

Russian troops attacked Ukraine on the night of July 4, launching 22 kamikaze drones. As the Ukrainian Air Force commander, Mykola Oleschuk, reported, Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down almost all drones.
