Report: The Premier League club Romelu Lukaku doesn't want to join this summer despite interest

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku does not want to be at Stamford Bridge.

Romelu Lukaku has spent the last two seasons out on loan at AS Roma and Inter Milan, making it very obvious that he does not want to be a Chelsea player.

Still, it does not look like the 31-year-old is willing to join just anyone in his bid to leave west London for good.

Lukaku is not on small wages, though, and Chelsea want quite a big fee for a player who is not getting any younger.

The Blues are thought to value Lukaku at £38m, which does not make a deal easy.

Which Premier League club has Romelu Lukaku been linked to?

After a spell at Roma and two stints at Inter, you suspect that Lukaku’s preference is to join an Italian club this summer.

However, with no Serie A sides yet to agree a deal with Chelsea to sign the Belgian, there is an opportunity for suitors from other divisions to swoop in.

That includes West Ham United, with GiveMeSport claiming that the Hammers have an interest in Lukaku.

The same outlet, though, has also reported that he is not looking to join them and is hoping a move abroad opens up.

Ultimately, it is a switch that is very unlikely to happen this summer.

Romelu Lukaku’s Premier League stats amid West Ham United interest

West Ham making a move for Lukaku would be more than understandable.

The Belgium international obviously knows the Premier League well after spells with Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton.

He also had a successful loan with West Bromwich Albion when they were still in the top flight, scoring 17 goals in 35 appearances for them all the way back in the 2012/13 season.

In total, Lukaku has scored 121 times in the Premier League.

The Chelsea striker, who is currently on a £325,000-a-week contract (Spotrac), could be a great signing for West Ham. But again, it is just hard to imagine it happening.
