Shouldham is holding its annual summer events including fete, party and yard sale this month

A village is holding its three popular annual events this month.

Shouldham Entertainment Committee is hosting a busy summer with the annual village fete on Saturday, July 6, followed by the annual village party held at Colts Hall Barn on The Green on Saturday, July 20, and the village yard sale on Sunday, July 28.

The fete is once again being held in its expanded form on the King George V Playing Fields in Shouldham, and organisers say the village is fortunate again to have a friend of the village actor Tim Bentinck (best known for playing David Archer in ‘The Archers’) who will open the event at noon on Saturday.

The fete is bigger and better than ever this year, with bouncy castles, trampolines, fairground rides, face painting, numerous food and drink vans, toy and sweet stalls, garden plants and décor, craft stalls, a coconut shy, and Shouldham’s now celebrated annual dog show and tractor rides to and from The King’s Arms on The Green.

The village party is also expanded for 2024 on Saturday, July 20, at Colts Hall Barn and gardens, directly on the village green.

There will be a barbecue dinner served by The King’s Arms, a disco, and a full bar provided by the Friends of The Wenns of Lynn, all for the price of £12.50 for anyone over 16, who are residents or not.

To complete the trio of village events for Shouldham, the yard sale will be in locations around the village on Sunday, July 28 from 10am-2pm, all to raise funds for future entertainment committee events.
