The signing of Marco Tilio last summer was one that excited the Celtic supporters to some degree.
Coming to the club as Australia’s most expensive-ever export, Tilio was highly rated in his homeland before his Celtic switch.
The Celtic fans had enjoyed watching Tom Rogic strut his stuff in the green and white Hoops and I suppose hopes were high amongst the support that Tilio could come in and make the same impact as the legendary Invincibles Treble hero.
However, it wasn’t meant to be as injury curtailed Tilio’s time at Celtic and he was eventually sent on loan to his former club in January for the remainder of the season.

We discussed this morning how Tilio labelled his time at Celtic as one of the toughest years of his career as he confirmed he was staying at Melbourne for another year.
And after recovering from another injury, Tilio is ready to make his mark again Down Under and it was news that was greeted with huge enthusiasm.
It’s pretty obvious Melbourne are delighted to have him back and the feeling was reciprocated amongst their supporters.
And another fan was over the moon replying, “Amazing news. We have some quality in our lineup.” another one was so overjoyed he shared the news with a mate:

So it appears that the 22-year-old winger is being warmly welcomed back into the Australian club’s fold.
With four years left on his current five-year deal and at just 22, there is still plenty of time for Tilio to develop and grow into the Celtic jersey.
Let’s hope that he can get back to his best and return to Paradise at the end of next season a far better and more confident player so he can prove why Celtic made him Australia’s record-breaking transfer singing of their footballing history.
