Martin Odegaard details how Arsenal are going to 'push' Man City for the title next season

Martin Odegaard has shared how Arsenal plan to go that extra mile next season and beat Manchester City to the Premier League title.

The Gunners fell just short of top spot last year in the race for the biggest prize in English football with Arsenal finishing two points behind City in the standings having dropped points in just two league games in 2024.

Having come so close yet so far away from a first league title since 2004, Arsenal fans are desperate to see the north London club regroup and go again next season, where new signings this summer could help the Gunners beat City to the title.

Arsenal ‘hungry’ to return to action after losing the title to Man City

Speaking on CBS’ Morning Footy, the Norwegian international revealed how Arsenal are ‘hungry’ to get back out there in the Premier League and to show everyone what they’re truly capable of having come close to the title last year.

Indeed, the body language of every Arsenal player after the last game of the season showed a squad who are already fired up to go again in the league against City, and Odegaard still seemingly has that fire even after a summer break.

Odegaard said when asked about Arsenal’s expectations for the upcoming Premier League season and if they can push City to the title after coming so close last year: “Last season was good, but it wasn’t good enough to win it.

“So this season we’re going to come back even more hungry and to push each other harder every day to win it, that’s what we’re going to try to do and it’s going to be a big season, and hopefully it’ll be good fun.”

Arsenal will be more motivated than ever to win the Premier League next season

Arsenal came close to winning the title yet again last season as City once again showed just how formidable they can be when they set their mind on winning the Premier League.

And for the Gunners, the general mood from the squad highlights a team that are more motivated than ever to win the league, with Arsenal ready to go for broke against City in the new season.

With the right signings, Arsenal can finally get their hands back on the Premier League trophy after two decades without winning the title, and the likes of Odegaard seem fired up to go again this summer.
