‘In the final weeks’: Fabrizio Romano says ‘incredible’ player could leave Arsenal at the end of the summer

Arsenal are yet to be all that active in the summer transfer window.

A few players have left the Emirates at the end of their contracts such as Mohamed Elneny and Cedric Soares, but other than that, it’s been rather quiet in terms of activity in north London.

However, things are expected to speed up once Euro 2024 is over and pre-season begins.

Arsenal have been linked to a number of new midfield and attacking options, while there are also some outgoings expected for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Speaking on Playback, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing what could happen at Arsenal in the next few weeks, and he says that Eddie Nketiah could leave the club in the final weeks of the transfer window if Arsenal do bring in another forward.

Eddie Nketiah could leave Arsenal in final weeks of the transfer window

Romano spoke about the ‘incredible’ striker and his future.

“At the moment Emile Smith Rowe is a quiet situation, nothing is going on. Eddie Nketiah could leave Arsenal if they sign one more striker. That is a possibility in the final weeks of the transfer window,” Romano said.

Nketiah needs a move

Regardless of whether or not Arsenal sign a new striker, Eddie Nketiah needs a move away from Arsenal this summer.

The striker’s minutes have dried up in 2024, and he’s miles away from the England picture despite making his debut for the Three Lions last season.

Nketiah needs to be playing regular football and showing what a talented player he is, and, sadly, his chance to become a key player at Arsenal seems to have passed him by.

Whether or not Arsenal do sign a new striker remains to be seen, but, regardless, Nketiah needs to be seriously thinking about leaving north London.
