Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of July 4

Since the beginning of the day, July 4, there were 80 combat engagements on the frontline. The largest number of battles are in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Situation in the directions

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked 10 times in the areas of Hlyboke, Vovchansk, and Lyptsi. Three battles are currently ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russians attacked the positions of the Defense Forces four times in the areas of Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, and Novoselivka. Two firefights are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions seven times near Makiivka, Hrekivka, and Terny. One battle is ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy is looking for weak spots in the defense. Three Russian attacks were repelled near Klishchiyivka and Vyymka. Another battle continues.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russians made 9 assaults on positions near Kalynivka, Hryhorivka, and Klishchiivka. Six battles are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, nine attacks were repelled in the vicinity of Pivnichne, Toretsk, and New York. Ukrainian defense forces repelled five enemy attacks, and four more combat engagements are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russians made 24 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Prohres, Lozuvatske, Yevhenivka, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. Six battles are ongoing.

In the Kurakhove direction, two attacks by the Russian army are ongoing, and two attacks have already been completed.

In the Vremivka direction, Russians made four attempts to advance near Vodiane and Makarivka.

Two Russian assaults were repelled in the Orikhiv direction. The enemy was defeated in the areas of Verbove and Robotyne.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the Russian forces attacked twice near Krynky.

Russia's losses in the war

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has already lost more than 547,000 personnel. Only yesterday, the Defense Forces eliminated another 1,200 Russian soldiers. They also destroyed 9 tanks, 65 artillery systems, and more.
