'I know': 2023 Daniel Farke signing will be leaving Leeds United this summer - journalist

Journalist Graeme Bailey says another of Leeds United’s key men from last season will be following Archie Gray out of the exit door this summer.

Despite the sale of Gray easing Leeds’ PSR concerns, interest in some of their other players seems to have ramped up since the turn of the month.

Premier League side Brighton are reportedly keen on four members of Leeds’ squad and even saw a £30 million offer knocked back for Georginio Rutter earlier this week.

Glen Kamara, Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto are also of interest to the Seagulls, though the former is actually said to have agreed personal terms with Ligue 1 side Rennes.

Meanwhile, according to Fabrizio Romano, the race for Summerville still very much remains ‘open’, with PSG the latest club to be linked, and Liverpool boss Arne Slot having spoken to him personally.

Graeme Bailey shares new update on Glen Kamara’s Leeds future

Leeds will not want to lose too many of their key players from last season’s squad to ensure there is some sort of continuity going into next season.

However, if there are some they can turn a quick profit on, it may be hard to say no. Kamara is someone who falls under that category.

Leeds are already in the market for at least one new midfielder this summer following Gray’s departure, and losing Kamara as well would mean both of their box-to-box options have gone.

But after a decent season at Elland Road following his £5 million arrival from Rangers, there is certainly scope to sell him for more, particularly if clubs like Brighton and Rennes are interested.

Speaking exclusively to LeedsUnited.News, transfer expert Bailey says Kamara will be leaving Leeds this summer with plenty of options for him both in the Premier League, and abroad.

He said: “Kamara is one I think is going to go. There is Premier League interest in him and I know French team Rennes like him as well.

“There are options for him abroad, plenty for him so Kamara is going to go as well. I think it is a blow as Kamara played really well at times for Leeds last year. I think he was really good so he will be a loss.”

Adam Pope says Leeds don’t want to lose Kamara

According to BBC journalist Adam Pope, Leeds do not want to lose Kamara this summer, but it looks as though that stance is going to be tested.

Though clearly it would be a blow to lose him, he is the type of player who is replaceable in the squad, as oppose to the likes of Summerville and Rutter.

Not only that, but turning a quick profit on someone like Kamara could actually help them keep those two at the club.

This is a situation that will be interesting to see how it develops in the coming weeks.
